Why should I use Ipina for my mobile needs?

Ipina provides you with the ability to create and mange your own mobile applications without having to learn or have any programming experience. With Ipina, you can be as creative as you want to be. You can setup your own mobile shop, sell and/or buy content or services, extend your blog or journal into the mobile world... the possibilities are endless! What do I get if I use Ipina as a publisher?

As a publisher you will get a free mobile application and up to 1000.0 Meg hosting space for your content. More space can be purchased if needed. Your mobile application can be access via WAP and/or Website. A website can be designed and developed for you on request. The website will be fully customizable just like your mobile application. You will get access to our E-Commerce plug-ins for your mobile and web applications. What phones does Ipina support?

Ipina provides you with a WAP version of your application very latest WAP 2.0 technologies providing you with an application which will work perfectly on any device ranging from your standard mobile device to the very latest IPhone or Smart Phone.

The minimum requirements for a mobile device to be able to run our downloadable application is:
Screen Size: 320x240
PLEASE NOTE: due to the fact that every model phone his its own firmware with its own list of firmware issues we cannot guarantee that the application will run flawlessly on every device.

Will Ipina work on the iPhone?

Ipina formats your mobile Internet application to look great on the iPhone (and iPod Touch!). Our advanced device detection technology serves up the proper logo and styles to make your application look its best on almost any phone in the market today.

What is WAP?

WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol, the global standard for the presentation and delivery of wireless information on mobile phones. Mobile Internet sites, or WAP sites, are sites specifically to be accessed via the WAP browser on the mobile phone. The vast majority of phones in the market today support WAP browsing, and sites created through Ipina are automatically formatted to look great on all of them.

What is an RSS feed?

Real Simple Syndication (RSS) is a family of Web feed formats used by millions of Web sites for publishing frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, podcasts and other information. You simply enter the URL of the feed when creating a menu option on your application, and the content will be automatically updated on your mobile site.

Can I talk to an actual person if I have a question about Ipina?

We would love to provide every one of our customers with a dedicated support person but to keep Ipina free we are unable to do it at this time. However, you are more than welcome to contact us via our contact page and we will be more than willing to answer your questions a best we can.

How many applications can I have in my suite?

At this time, each account may create up to 4 applications. On special requests we will allow you to add more applications to your suite

Technical Support

My application is down. Who should I tell?

We are committed to keeping our servers up and running at all times. If, however, you cannot access your application, please let us know through our contact form, and we will take a look right away.

Can I see what my application will look like on different phones from the admin interface?

Not at this point; although we'll consider this feature in the future.

What kind of images can I use?

We have added a complex image rendering component to Ipina and our platform will convert all images to the correct format and size. For more information on image sizes, and image file sizes keep an eye out for our help text on every page.

Can I show videos on my application?

YES you can!! Video is one of the most popular requirements and we made sure this feature was added. With Ipina you can load smaller videos as downloadable videos or you can load large video files and Ipina will automatically create a preview video (+- 20 seconds) for WAP users.

Why isn't my RSS feed showing up on my application?

Please check to make sure that your feed is valid.

What kind of RSS formats do you support?

Ipina accepts RSS feeds. If you have any requirements for other RSS formats please let us know

My RSS feed doesn't show the full content of my application? How do I change this?

Most likely, your blog or content management software is not displaying "full articles". This is usually a preference that needs to be set in your main blog preferences. Please consult your blog provider's documentation to find the location where this change needs to be made.
